Majic Readers,
Did you know, it's true, you are what you consume. The five people you spend the most time with WILL influence your outlook on life.
Surrounding yourself with positive, motivated individuals is essential to uplift your spirits and inspire personal growth.
Being constantly around negativity has and will hinder your progress. You don't have to let go of everyone who is negative. But limit the energy you exchange with these people.
If you're feeling sad, depressed, or stuck, and you don't understand why life isn't going your way, take a moment to reflect on the individuals who frequent your life. If you are the most reliable person you know -or- If your immediate social circle doesn't offer support and positivity: consider expanding your network or seeking out NEW sources of inspiration.
If the people you interact with aren't fostering in a growth-oriented mindset, you might miss out on valuable challenges and opportunities for self-improvement in those interactions.
While it's not necessary to surround yourself exclusively with those who radiate positivity, it's crucial to evaluate the overall impact of your interactions. Make adjustments to your environment to ensure that you're exposed to a healthy balance of perspectives and energy levels that align with your aspirations.
Similarly, the media you consume plays a significant role in shaping your beliefs and expectations. It's essential to curate your media intake to align with your goals and aspirations.
Spend less time with individuals who consistently express negativity or discourage your ambitions. Instead, seek out companions who radiate positivity and share a growth mindset. Similarly, reduce the time spent on mindless reality TV or nighttime dramas. Consider allocating more time to consuming content created by individuals who inspire you or provide valuable insights.
If you aspire to emulate someone like Oprah, it's essential to understand that watching her performances in films isn't enough. Dive deeper into her talk shows and interviews where she delves into matters of mindset, trauma, and personal growth. Focus on her words, not just the characters she portrayed.
Remember, life is too precious to let it be consumed by negativity and external influences. Take control of what you consume, both in terms of people and media, to align with your vision for personal growth and happiness.
Stop letting life consume you. And choose what you consume.
