In the works: Awful Waffle Sandwich Pockets
This is the exciting recipe of my first Awful Waffle with a Venom Waffle Maker. A pizza pocket.
Ingredients:
Grands flaky biscuits
Provolone sliced cheese
Shredded aged Cheddar and Parmesan
Salami
Avocado oil
Penzys Pizza Seasoning
Penzys Roasted garlic
Marinara Sauce
Equipment:
Venom Waffle Iron
Brush
Total time: 10 to 15 minutes
The waffle iron takes about 2 or 3 minutes to preheat, and the cook time is roughly 8 to 12 minutes. Now, let's dive into the art of pizza pocket creation!

Preparation:
First things first, gather all your ingredients. You'll want to shred that delightful cheese to get things rolling. I always shred block cheese because it's better for melting. Already shredded cheese is meant to preserve itself so it doesn't melt as easily.
Here's a trick for working with Grands flaky biscuits: let their weight do the job. Spin the dough in a circle as you're gently pulling it. When you cook the dough expands, so don't worry about covering the entire iron with the piece you make, just cover most of it.
After some trial and error, I've discovered that the best way to prep the dough is before you open the iron. Have both pieces ready.
After about a minute or so, the green light will indicate on, then shortly after it will go off. Once its off you are ready to start cooking. Open the iron, use your brush to brush on some oil.
The take your first dough piece and spread it out; remember it's okay if it's thin because it expands during cooking. Just make sure it'sand not got holes all the way through.
Now, the majic touch: add a thin spoonful of marinara sauce, layer your choice of cheeses and salamis, and sprinkle a bit of Penzys Pizza Seasoning and Roasted Garlic. Add more cheese for a little more good measure, add your other piece of dough, and close the iron,
It's important when you close the iron you don't over press it; we don't want the juices to escape.
Now, let the majic give a grand finale! Cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until your crust is golden brown and firm all around the edges.
And there you have it, my fellow adventurers! Your homemade Pizza Waffle Pockets are crispy on the outside, oozing with cheesy goodness on the inside.
